The international tapestry town ofAubusson
Since 2016, the international tapestry town offers you a visit to the collections of the former museum of Aubusson, at 50 km of the campsite. In the former National School voor Decorational Arts, nearly 1.200 m² are dedicated to exhibitions about the making of tapestry from Aubusson, from the 15th century to our days. You’ll also find tapestries of modern artists (Le Corbusier, Vasarely, Braque, Man Ray…), collections from all over the world, but also graphic art, woven furniture, weaving material and tools…. This museum carries the label ‘musée de France’ and also offers a room dedicated to modern creations and innovation in the fields of textile and weaving art.
